History

1972
Forresters established by Alan Dilliway-Parry (now company chairman).
The company specialised in the wholesale and production of raw chicken.
1995
Relocation to an 8 acre brown field site in Kingsley.
1996
Steam Cooked Chicken Portion production commenced.
1998
Raw Production facility is automated with installation of ACM (automatic cutting machine)
2000
Installation of Double D cooker allows Roast Cooked Chicken Portions to be launched
2002
700 pallet coldstore and extensive refurbishment to production halls completed
2003
Raw and Cooked Traded products introduced to portfolio.
2004
Injection technology introduced to cooked production to improve quality and regeneration of cooked chicken portions.
2005
ADP retires and board of directors left to run company (Angus Dilliway-Parry, Tim Diggle, Heidi Dilliway- Nickson)
2006
Pasteurised products introduced to range. Grade A Higher Level EFSIS accreditation achieved.
2007
Tumbling and Cooked Marinating Production commenced. Red Tractor certification received.
2008
IQF (individual quick frozen) technology introduced to transform frozen raw product offering capability.
2009
New packaging store, engineering store & coldstore extension to be completed.
2010
Launch of new roast / steam cooked chilled production – primarily for the retail / supermarket sector.

The Staff

Forresters employ approximately 85 staff - the majority of whom live within a 10 mile radius. We are proud of the dedication and commitment shown by many of our staff, (over 25 staff having worked for the company in excess of 10 years). The majority of our managers have worked their way up from within the production halls, and it is part of our company philosophy to actively encourage internal promotions.
